Founded in 1904 the Hughesville Friends Church has been active in ministry for over 100 years. The first Church was located on Water Street in Hughesville. After the Rischel Factory burned, the Church purchased the property on South Third Street and built the new Worship Center in 1976. Plans are ongoing to build a Family Life Center including a gymnasium and kitchen.
The heart of Hughesville Friends Church is to be an engaging and equipping church for our community. To do this we believe in offering a varied style and approach to ministry to meet the needs of a diverse community.
Our Church is an active supporter of Local and Foriegn Missions. Through our Great Commission Budget we support missions in over 26 different fields on 5 Continents. We also support local missions through the Pregnancy Care Center and Hughesville Camp Meeting among others.
We are committed to not only giving but going. Mission teams are organized several times a year involving both youth and adults. Teams have been sent to Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti, and even to Rough Rock, Arizona to work with the Navajo Nation. We have been able to contribute to the building of churches and ministries in many places.
